Packing the Hospital Bag - Useful Tips from Us

When preparing for the arrival of your little one, there are many things to consider. A good piece of advice is to make sure you have a hospital bag packed and ready for the big day.

In this blog post, we will share tips to make your hospital bag packing easier and maybe even more organized. It is our suggestions for simplifying the packing process and include the essential items we would pack ourselves:

Diaper Bag: Our diaper bag is perfect as a hospital bag. It is lightweight and spacious, making it perfect for your needs. The clever compartmentalization makes it easy to organize all your baby essentials. You'll find separate compartments for diapers, wipes, change of clothes, and later on, snacks and toys too.

It comes with a matching padded changing mat in a dirt-repellent quality, and everything is OEKO-TEX® certified, of course.

Going-Home Outfit: Choose a soft and warm going-home outfit to ensure your baby is protected from the weather when you leave the hospital.

Baby Blanket/Swaddle: A soft and comfortable blanket or swaddle is perfect for keeping your baby warm and cozy.

Baby Quilt: It's a good idea to have a lightweight and breathable baby quilt that suits the season and ensures the right temperature, providing comfort for your baby.

2-3 Sets of Clothes: We recommend packing some extra sets of clothes for your baby – some days babies go through surprisingly many outfits. Choose soft and flexible fabrics that won't irritate delicate baby skin. Check out our Newborn Collection, starting from size 44. Bodysuits, tops, and jumpsuits are designed with wrap-around closures, making them just as easy to take off as they are to put on.

Muslin Cloths: Burp cloths are indispensable for keeping your baby clean and dry. Bring a few extras for changing along the way.

Booties: To protect those little feet. Take a look at our selection of soft booties that keep them warm.

Newborn Hat: A small hat to keep your baby's head warm and protected from cold and drafts.

Toiletry Bag: Our matching toiletry bags are spacious and practical, providing room for storing diapers, ointments, and much more.

We always advice to consider the season when packing your hospital bag. Summer and winter babies may require different items. If you're expecting your baby in the winter months, we recommend packing the bag with wool. Wool is soft, warm, and temperature-regulating, keeping your baby cozy without sweating. Woolen clothes, a warm going-home outfit, a winter quilt, a hat and mittens are perfect for the little winter baby.

Even during summer, wool can still be a good choice for your newborn summer baby because newborns cannot regulate their body temperature. Therefore, it's good to protect their little feet with socks regardless of the season.

We hope that our tips for packing your baby's hospital bag will be helpful to you. Our diaper bag is an ideal choice as a hospital bag. It combines design, functionality, and quality, and we are confident that you will find it useful at the hospital and in the time after birth.

We wish you a wonderful birthing experience and a fantastic start to life with your little one.
