Alpaca yarn is valued for its softness, warmth, and durability. It is a fiber with long traditions in the region – chosen not because it is a trend, but because it has always been part of the way of making. The yarn comes from alpacas kept in the women’s own households and communities in the Andes. It is cared for, spun, and transformed into garments through techniques passed down for generations.
