At MarMar Copenhagen data protection and confidentiality is of high importance. This privacy policy sets out clear guidelines for how MarMar Copenhagen processes your personal data. Further, we explain how we use the personal data that you leave and/or provide when you visit our website and use the various services on the website. MarMar Copenhagen is responsible for your personal data under the applicable data protection law.
Collection of personal data
When you visit our website, we automatically collect personal data about you and your use of the website. The personal data collected by us may include, for instance, your name, address, your email address, phone number, information about your online purchase, payment method and data about your navigation on the website e.g. search terms you use in the website, your IP-address etc.
All data provided by you is gathered securely through the SSL (SecureSockets Layer). SSL is a protocol that encrypts your data into codes so that your data is kept secure while being transmitted via the internet. Only your bank has access to your data.
In connection with the submission of your data it will always be stated whether the submission is voluntary or necessary for completing the desired action, such as the completion of a transaction in our webshop.

If you use your email address in more than one of the above cases, your personal data will only be collected and registered in one place. This way your information is already stores when you shop at us, and you will not receive the same marketing material from MarMar Copenhagen more than once.

MarMar Copenhagen keeps statistics about which areas of the site our users visit and which products the users prefer. This data does not contain personal data. Knowledge about the users’ use of the website is gained with help from the collected data. This information is used to improve the website.
We do use data about how our users navigate, to better understand how our users use com and from that we try to improve the website. We are not able to see where you come from or where you are going on the internet after you leave our site. Furthermore, we collect information about what products our users, as a unit, prefers. This information is also used to improve the website. We do not sell or otherwise disclose information about how our users navigate and use our website. We do not sell or disclose information about your purchase history to third party.
Transfer to other data controllers
In general, we do not transfer your personal data to a third party without your consent.
Your personal data is only disclosed to partners of MarMar Copenhagen who deliver services on behalf of MarMar Copenhagen, for example website agencies that optimize the website, our warehouse partner and shipping company who manages the delivery of your order, payment service providers for your payment etc. These partners only process the personal data on behalf of MarMar Copenhagen and in accordance with the instructions of MarMar Copenhagen.
Under specific circumstances and with reference to legislation, it might be necessary to transfer information to public, authorities or the police. For example, information may be disclosed to the police in case of suspicion of credit card fraud.
Deletion of personal data
We will delete your personal data when we no longer need to process them in relation to one or more of the purposes set out. However, data may be processed and stored for a longer period of time in anonymized form. Information collected when you have subscribed our newsletter is deleted when you have withdrawn your consent to receive the newsletter.
Regarding information collected in connection with purchases on our website, we will generally delete this information after five years following the end of the calendar year in which you made your purchase.

You have the right to get all your personal data erased or blocked according to the rules. In certain situations, we cannot erase your personal data e.g. if you have an ongoing matter with Customer Service, you have an uncompleted order in our system etc.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data for direct marketing including profiling analysis carried out for direct marketing purposes.
Links to other websites etc.
Our website may contain links to other websites or to integrated sites. We are not responsible for the contents of the websites of the other companies or for the practices of such companies regarding the collection of personal data. When you visit other websites, you should read their policies on the protection of personal data or other relevant policies.
Amendment of data etc.
